RC Flight Training
The RC Flight Training portion of RUFTC first teaches members basic RC aerodynamics and electronics, while providing an extensive review of current FAA regulations regarding the operation of recreational drones. We provide realistic experience with RC flying using the RealFlight simulation software and virtual reality equipment. Finally, members build and fly their own drones to test and hone their skills. Thus, we provide a firm foundation from which members can begin or advance their lifelong passion for hobby flying.
Private Pilot License Program
The PPL program is a new initiative for the Spring 2020 semester. Interested students progress through the FAA PPL Syllabus and are provided with flight simulator training - all without breaking the bank! This program is a unique opportunity for students to become educated about the aviation industry and take their first steps toward acquiring their private pilot license and further certifications.
